Broadcasting – Method of Sowing for Wheat Cultivation

i) The seed is broadcasted and covered by giving harrowing.
ii) This method is followed in the north India on light alluvial soil having sufficient moisture in the surface layer.
iii) This method is inefficient because of poor germination and irregular plant stand.
iv) It requires more seed rate than drilling method.
