Cultivars or Varieties of Cabbage

It is one week late than Golden Acre. Head weight is 1 to 2 kg.
It is late by one week than Pride of India. Ready for harvest in 90-100 days and head weighs 1.5 to 3.00 kg. Head is compact.
In late varieties flat shaped head varieties are grown Pusa Drumhead It is a late selection. Heads are large flat and some what loose. Average head weight is 1.5 to 3 kg. It is heavy yielder.
Hybrid cultivars are introduced which are more uniform in maturity, size and shape of head than common cultivars. Hybrid cultivars can be grown a higher temperature. Hari rani is one of the best hybrids. Now a day’s cabbage is grown in different seasons. It has become possible because of hybrid cultivars which can tolerate high temperature.
