Definition of Latent Viruses and Masked Symptoms
1. Latent Viruses:
Many viruses may infect certain hosts without ever causing development of visible symptoms on them. Such viruses are usually called as “Latent viruses” and hosts are called as “Symptomiess carriers”.
2. Masked Symptoms:
Virus induced plant symptoms that are absent under certain environmental conditions, but appear when the host is exposed to dertain conditions of light and temperature.
