Land Preparation for Turmeric Cultivation
1. Land is ploughed 20 cm deep by an iron plough or tractor.
2. Clods are crushed with clod crusher.
3. Another crosswise ploughing is given.
4. About 20 to 30 tons FYM/ha is added to the soil.
5. It is mixed into soil by giving two harrowings.
6. Leveling is done with the help of leveler.
