Vegetable Gardening for Seed Production and Floating Vegetable Garden

Vegetable Gardening for Seed Production:

As the vegetable cultivation is increasing day by day need for good vegetable seed has also increased. To meet this demand State Government Department of Organizations like National seeds Corporation of India are producing registered and certified seeds at their own farms or on cultivators fields. Though this is a new and expanding industry in India but it has a bright future.

Floating Vegetable Garden:

This is also a type of vegetable gardening generally seen in Dal and other lakes of Kashmir Valley. For this type of garden first of all a floating base is made from the roots of various grasses and weeds growing wild in the lake. After this leaf compost and wild vegetation’s of the lake are spread over them and then seediaps are transplants. Irrigation and other subsequent operations are done by with the help of boats. Seasonal flower are also grown in these gardens.
